LOL Please help?

Hi guys

I have just come to Flash my Bios With the New 3029, I boot up into X3 live and want to Flash by DVD when i have Clicked on the DVD to Flash It does nothing at all.

I press the B button and it goes Back to i can Flash form C: E: F: DVD.


I have Pressed the Protect Butoon so its Red when booting up and buttons 1+2 and they are Blue.

Does any one have any Idears Why its not Flashing?

Oh i have Xucter3 Bios2913.

have you followed all the instructions of how to burn a bios cd ?
go through it step by step to make sure you are burning it corectly
have you tried http flashing ? its mutch easier !

better yet, do ftp flash. Sorry but let me clarify something and please correct me if I'm wrong. You told us that you currently have 2913 bios and you want to upgrade to 3029, am I correct? and you want to upgrade via DVD? If so I'll save you some trouble. Do the following:

Suppose you got 2913 in banks 1234, then I would flash 3029 into banks 5678 just in case you ever want to go back to 2913. To ftp flash, disable flash protect. Get on X3 config live. Use ftp client on your PC to connect to your xbox (remember pw & username are "x3" without the quotes). Go to admin/bios banks/1024k banks/. Transfer your appropriate bios into bank 1+2+3+4 or bank 5+6+7+8 (if 2913 is in 1234 then put 3029 bios in 5678 folder). Your xbox should start the flash process. Of course when it's done, you want to set your switches to appropriate settings to boot to new bios.

never tryed FTP flashing at all so how would i set up to boot from the banks 5678?
When i have Flashed 5678.

And I did do ever thing the instructions for DVD done nothing diffrant to the last DVD rom i used for the Bios.



LOL for got nartac yes I'm on 2913 at the mo.

OK just looked do i only put the renamed 3029bin (ie Bios) file into the /Admin/BIOS banks/1024k banks/bank 5+6+7+8/ ?
also do i have to put the dummy file in as well?

the dummy file is just there to bulk up the disk, it doesnt do anything at all. so you dont need to put that in at all. just the bios.

I have done that and when i boot up it loads up the 2913 Bios i do a Soft Bank Sel: 5-8.
Also i had to Name the Bios 3029 as it said unknowen Bios Did this in the Bios Tools. Bios nameing.

How do i get it to load up the Banks 5-8 to load up instend of 2913?

Hmmmmm still having Problems with my FTP in X3 live not uploading at the speed i was getting in the one Before 2913 very slow. ok going from XboX to PC but the other way no good.

I have just tryed to upload again a File to my XboX using FlashFxP and the X3 Live.

I gave up with it as it was taking its time it was only 35 meg File so it should have been done in a few sec's and the time it was taking to do the one file to the XboX 19meg 5min09sec's and was still saying 00.06 remaining


I was Down loading some files of the Net Using Again FlashFxP
From the net 14.31 MB in 1 minutes 14 seconds (195.7 KB/s)

so don't know why its so slow.

any idears?

all i have to do is find out why the FTP is sh*t Slow still bummer ok going from the XboX to PC but PC to XboX very slow as i said before if ya can under stand what i typed LOL
