ANSWERED looking for a headsteart (new to 360 Jtag'ing)

for the longest time i refuse to jtag my Jasper had i have lil over 100$ worth in Rockband 2 DLC, (since XBL Ban = no RB 1/2/3 DLC.) i just moved in w/ friends and they had a spare Xenon (wont read discs)

it hasnt beem online in some time,

it is infact on an NXE Dash, and heres the version #'s

BK: 2.0.1888.0

from what i see i Can J-tag it still, but my soldering skills bite the big wind. is there a friendly means to J-tag this 360? and after J-Taging can it run games From a USB HDD?

is it worth it still to Jtag 360s or would i be better off just replacing the drive (i just want to make use of the unit)if its better off in the long run to J-tag thne i'll do that.

but if i simply just replace the dead dvd drive, is that Detectable and bannable by XBL?

You can JTAG that console.

If you can't solder, send the console to somebody who can.

Once you JTAG a console, it should never be taken on XBL (it will be banned in minutes).

If your in the uk I can do it for you for 10 pounds lol. Jtag is very easy (for the experienced) anyway.

Nice to see a console bootup old blade dash and older 7371 dash lol. Like finding gold

actually its NXE but it's pre-Kinect NXE. but yea sadly im in the states.

Jtag is easy but I like the jtag qsb for xenon they look so nice and neat and prob only like 10$. Where in the states you located

I'd suggest if the dvd drive won't play games and you're going to ship it to someone to JTAG it for you, have them replace the laser while they're at it. This way if you ever brought it back to stock you wouldn't have to worry about dvd drive swap at all, swap laser should fix that issue and you could also go for demon install and have it live good and jtag good.

No offence but why would anyone install a demon on a xenon ?

I haven't worked with many xenons other than standard repairs so I haven't thought about it much. I was thinking because he was talking about going on XBL.

It isn't possible to dual boot a Xenon for XBL right now (updating the dashboard version = no homebrew on Xenon consoles).

A JTAG/RGL configuration may work, but I'm not 100% certain if RGLoader supports Xenon JTAG.
