Hi,

I have a Corona V2 board that's had two crystals pulled off of it like so

Is anyone capable of fixing this? This board was part of a botched CR4 install, so if that could be installed as well. The QSB is soldered on and works fine, the chip gets power, but for some reason refused to boot. I got a postfix adapter, and ended up not needing it but pulled off the crystals it solders to accidentally, as I installed the board and attempted to remove it.

Thanks

You mean resistors, not crystals. Does the console boot to stock at all still? Where are you located?

The console had it's nand rewritten, so it doesn't boot at all anymore. It turns on though, I could probably write the original nand back onto it.

Oops - skillet, you're right. Didnt even see the CXXXX. Either way....

OP - could you try to write original nand back and desolder the 5V wire to the CR4? See if it even boots.

Where are you located?

I'm in Canada. Sorry, should have mentioned that first :p

Edit: I have now successfully written the stock nand back onto the console. The console makes it about 3/4 of the way though the boot animation, right before the light shaft finished entering the grey sphere, the Xbox crashes and RROL's with no quadrants lit (OVERHEAT). I then stopped being dumb and put the heatsink on, and now it boots fine. So....I guess I don't need a repair?

You probably should get it repaired as it's missing caps that it was designed to have, so it may cause issues in the future. Up to you.
