I am about to perform my first mod chip install with an X3 chip on my V1.6 Xbox. I bought the chip online and it came with a v1.6 Rebuild PCB.

The X3 install Tutorial seems easy enough. But there is one part that confuses me. It is the section that talks about the LPC rebuild. It states "If you have the v1.6 Rebuild PCB from your supplier then goto this link on how to fit it - you do not need to install manual wires."

When I click on that link, I get a dead link. I can't find anywhere how to install the 1.6 LPC rebuild PCB. Check out this picture, is this the LPC rebuild PCB?

I appologize if this info was right in front of my face. I did a few searches but couldn't find anything.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Also I guess I am looking for info on how to install this with the pin headers. Do you install the pin headers first, and then install this over it?

There use to be a sticky in this section for the rebuild. With the new forum updates I cannot find it. The path was http://www.teamxecuter.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=23461.

I do know you would lay the rebuild down first. Stick the LPC pins through and solder together. I know the tut would help because of the pictures, but the solder points are where the "shiny metal pads" are. They line up with the points they are to connect to.

I messed up when installing mine because I soldered the pins first and the rebuild was difficult to use. I ended up using a wire to connect everything, but I like the idea of the rebuild. So, if you are hesitent, wait for that tut to reappear.

In this tut, http://www.teamxecuter.com/x3/tutorials/x3pin16.htm, it shows where the connection points are for the rebuild. You should be able to get enough information from this and not have any trouble. Just look at the points were they use wire, and you will use the board.

This PCB rebuild is also used for X2.6 lite in addition to X3. Correct?
LPC Rebuild is used with X2.6 as well

Any tips for fraggin boxes using the Rebuild board.. Mine frags when chip is on, fine when off... All lights on the chip and switchs come alive.. The lights on the PCb I guess are only for funky looks and not any use in checking errors i guess ?

Any help will be appreciated as this looks like a nightmare to remove if impossible.... runs away screamin !!!
