I ordered 5 2.6CE Lite chips w/ xapters and I'm having problems getting them to boot to FlashBios. I'm pretty sure I messed up on the first chip I installed by installing EvoX M8 to the wrong bank and forgot to put FlashBios to the other bank, so I put another chip in to start fresh, but the d0 wire was having trouble going in so I used a fine tip pin to slightly enlarge the hole, now it clicks in, but won't boot to anything but the retail screen. Can someone have a look at this pic and tell me if they think I messed up my d0, and if so, what can I do to repair it??

If you save the file and zoom in you can see a lot better...

When D0 is high, the box boots retail, when it's grounded it boots from the chip.

Your D0 wire must not be making contact with the D0 point because it's obviously not getting grounded.

I suggest throwing some solder in there or soldering to the underside D0 point. If you're not comfortable soldering, I'd suggest getting someone to do it for you. :]

Also, if you're attempting to do a solderless install into a 1.6 box, it's not going to happen with the Xapt3r, that may be your problem :p

i've heard of people messing up and doing just that, see if you can get a really tiny piece of aluminium foil and stick it in there. I don't know if this really works, but I believe I heard this somewhere for making better contact with old solderless chips that used to use the pogo pins on the d0. I believe this should work for that as well.
