Please do not tell me to check soldering. That's been done ad naseum.

I have used my nand-x succesfully before, but I had some issues so I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled. Now, anytime I try to read the nand I get the "Looking for USB Device" device not found error.

Very very frustrating. It appears that number of people had this issue, but I didnt see any work arounds other than someone to tell them to check soldering. I have a strong feeling my nand-x is bad. I've double and tripple checked soldering, and tried two computers. Any tips?

Have you tried reseting and then reupdating to the lates v3 software?
I purchased the nand-x with the latest v3. How do I reset?

Edit - I kinda feel dumb but I assume the reset hole on the nand-x is how I reset. Will I lose v3 code if I reset? Should I be plugged into the pc when I reset?

Pics of wireing. Is the console plugged in? Not turned on just plugged into the wall.

Yes, it's just plugged in, not turned on. I will post pics of wiring, but it is not wiring.

Also - while I'm posting pictures, I have checked the continuity with a multimeter. I get a connection to the back of the solder pads and the wires. I do not get continuity between any two wires. Again, it is not soldering, but I will post pictures.

I appreciate the replies, and not to be rude, but it is not soldering. I am looking for software suggestions, or someone with a simmilar experience posting what they did. I do not want to return this thing, it will result in so much lost time, but I may have to.

Do you have DLPortIO installed?

A little tip i pick up from fibres glitch guide, solder some legs off of a resistor to the end of your wires, that way they go into the holes a little better and you can easly seperate them to see if youve any shorts, works a treat, if you do this dont forget to insulate or put some shirk wrap around the join as it will get very hot!

Not trying to be rude myself but its clearly your soldering
Sigh. Could you please be more clear why you think it's the soldering and I will gladly post a picture from a different angle just for you.

I actually did this the first time. Thinking it may be my soldering, I removed them and the heat shrink so I could assure the wires made contact.

ok no dramas, i did have the same problem as you, in the end i tried a differnet mobo (i was fortunate enought to have a spare), and it wasnt the nandx at fault as it work perfectly. Speaking from a fault finding point of view you have to rule out every possilbility before returning the nandx, if youve a muliti meter might be worth doing some continuity checks between the point to rule out any shorts. or as i suggested before reset the nand-x make sure it has the v3 software if not update it and try again.
