TIP

99.9% of the time "Looking for USB interface device, Cannot continue" = bad soldering (as many of you have confirmed already in this thread and countless others)

A faulty nandx is usually when it can't be found in Device manager

This is what we have found from all of the non faulty returns that we get sent back.

- Xecuter

I seem to have hit a roadblock here. I've finally finished soldering the QSB's and connecting everything up.

I connected the NAND-X to my computer and installed the appropriate driver exactly as the tutorial explains.

When i run Jtag Tool as administrator and click read nand i get the following error message;

Any help here would be appreciated. I've noticed people needing help with reading the NAND but I'm failing even before that.

this happened to me a couple times, i found that unplugging the usb from the pc, clicking the "scan computer for hardware changes" button in device manager, then plugging the usb back in and clicking that button once more and waiting about a minute did the trick for me.

also, try to use NandPro directly instead of with JTAG Tool.

I've just tried your method. When i open up NandPro the command window opens and then closes in less than a second. I have also tried running as Administrator but it does exactly the same thing every time :/.

you need to open cmd prompt then navigate to the folder where nandpro is then just type

NandPro usb: etc etc.

use the cd command and drag the folder where nandpro is into the cmd prompt

so like this

cd *this is when you drag the folder to the command prompt*

this will change the directory to where ever you tell it to.

1. download nandpro v3 here: http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/xbox360pc/nandtools/Nandpro30.rar
2. create a folder in the root of your C: drive that is named nandpro (eg. C:\nandpro)
3. drag all the contents of the rar you downloaded and put them into that nandpro folder
4. open cmd prompt
5. type in
Code:
cd C:\nandpro
6. dump your nand (if you have a jasper, the "-r16" part will be different)
Code:
NandPro usb: -r16 originalnand.bin

As of right now i am trying to dual boot windows on my mac and try the NAND X on there. It might be a problem with my computer. But installing dual boot will take some time.

Dixed if your PC is all setup fine, its most likely your soldering that needs to be checked.

if it was your soldering it would say something like "cannot find flash memory device" or similar. (i think)
