i am using win 7 x64 and have read/written to my nand perfectly fine with nandpro v3
Yea the thing is I also get the same problem as him with the cannot detect flash controller, is there any other way to confirm that its a problem with the setup on the PC and not a bad soldering job?

Thanks

Is your soldering OK,a lot of emphasis is put on this being right,i.e no bridging etc

I used the QSB's and checked continuety between each channel for any bad solder joints. I think it's almost safe to say it isn't my soldering. I will post pictures soon enough.

But its getting my computer to recognise the NAND X that's the problem.

If it's showing in your device manager then I think it's the xbox not recognising the Nand X or a problem with the Nand X itself

What I will do is reflow all of the solder connections. Maybe there is a small underlying fault? Do you need to have the DVD drive connect when attempting to dump NAND?

i suppose it is possible the nand-x is faulty, you may try another one or try sending yours back for another one.

have you figured this yet mine is doing the exact same thing now. its only 2 days old and worked fine the other night but today it started reading the nand then about halfway thru started giving me error 0 in every block after that it will no longer work giving me the same "looking for usb interface device can not continue"

mine is running the latest v3 code and using nandpro 3.0

ok ive got mine sorted so i thought id post back how in case anybody else finds this thread by searching the problem as i did cos i always hate when you find those threads about the problem you are having only to find nobody ever bothered concluding them with an answer:D

ok i was using the wee qsb's and had no problem the other night. i know my soldering is fine as ive 22 years soldering experience, my joints were all good, tidy, smooth and as shiny as lead free solder ever is and i tested them all with a meter. however just as a last resort i tested them again and i noticed something strange somehow j1d2.4 and j1d2.6 were showing continuity with each other. j1d2.6 is the ground point so i checked on another ground spot on the copper edging round the board and somehow j1d2.4 had become grounded i checked my solder joints again to ensure no bridges and they were fine, i knew there wouldnt be anyway due to the fact it was working fine the last time i used it so i assumed somehow the qsb had gotten damaged, maybe i was too forceful removing the cable last time i used it so i removed both qsb's and cleaned the holes and soldered in the pin headers instead and voila problem solved, jobs a goodun.

anybody else having the same problem id highly advise checking your joints with a meter and ensuring nothing bridged or grounded that shouldnt be and dont assume the qsbs are fine you may have damaged them without knowing when installing or plugging in and out the cable. the pin headers are a more solid job and easy to solder in but cleaning the holes out can be difficult without the correct equipment. personally i recommend a pointy tip solder iron and a solder sucker, push the tip into the hole to melt all the solder and suck it out the other end with the sucker.

sorry for the essay just trying to be thorough

i get this error
C:\Nandpro3>nandpro usb: -r16 rexnand.bin

does someone have the v2 hex of the nandx usb so i can write that back because before i updated the nandx usb it just worked fine
