lost 3.0.3 flashbios

i have a 1.6b and the the person i had flash the chip flashed over the 3.0.3 flashbios unknown to me at the time. then i tried to get to the flashbios screen and its gone. now everything works fine but if anything ever goes wrong i dont have any way to get to the flashbios screen to flash the chip. is there any way since every thing is working to get the 3.0.3 flashbios back to the chip the way it was when it came? if so how? thanks

you can flash the back up rom with 3.03 through X3CL Bios tools.

thanks tchild, i have the file and looked at the tools and im not sure how to get it where it goes. i dont want to mess it up either. do i have to have the bank switchs set a certain way when its backed up? and where does the bios flie go before you back it up? thanks

put flashbios3.03 in c:\bios (save it as bios.bin)
then enter config live
go Bios tools <press A>
down to Flash Backup Rom <press A>
Load 256K bios from c:
then browse down to [DIR]Bios
select bios.bin [256KB] <press A>
then answer yes on "Really Flash the Backup Flash Rom?"

when you press pwr& eject after its flashed u should have 3.03

I have almost the exact same problem, only worse, my buddy overwrote banks 5678 (3.03) on my X3 CE (v1.6b xbox) and he put a bad dashboard on my system, so mine IS jacked up and I have no idea how to get 3.03 back on it.

I've tried doing the backup BIOS boot holding both Power+Eject, but it doesn't do anything, any ideas?
