Trying to install a 2.6 ce on a 1.6 box. Rebuilt Lpc and put the chip in only to find I lost the 5v wire to connect... needless to say there was a prolonged period of swearing. Anyway what are my options now? Can i just use a regular wire from an extra harness and still hook it up to the 5v source. B/c i know the 5v wire provided has 2 small wires in it (one is a ground i assume).

Secondly... would this cause the box to frag... because i tried it once using a regular wire and it fragged but the xecuter still lighted up aso it had power... Thanks so much

you're right... it only is 1 wire... but why does it plug in on the chip to a spot that has 2 pins. So would using a spare small gauge wire work the same... and where would I connect it?

Not on this planet!
Yes they are; and for refrence if you look at the chip with the pin header facing up, the 5V connection is right next to the header. The connection to 5V is the pin nearest the pin header.
