I have brought a xecuter 2.6 and installed it no problems with the solderless xapter adapter. The problem was it kept loosing its connection and not booting. After some thought I decided to solder in the pin header which went well. The only problem is that I have lost the D0/Lan/HD wire that comes with the chip. This is the first mod I have done and I am a bit confused as to what I should do about the D0 wire. I can do without the HD/Lan light but to my understanding I can not disable the mod chip without the D0 installed. I was thinking that i could solder a wire to the D0 point but then were would I solder it on the Chip. The original wire comes as 1 piece that has a connector that just pushes on to the chip. If some one could tell me where to solder this wire to I would be really grateful..

Thanks again

There was another thread recently regarding a lost D0 wire. Check it out here - http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36496
If you have a 2.6CE the directions I posted in there should be right on. If you have an older 2.6 there will be a minor difference. Instead of D0 being the closest pin to the alt 5v connector (since this connector had been a pin above the LPC socket at the time) it is now the closest pin to the LPC socket. It will make things a little bit more close quarters for working on this. I can tell by the chip pictures at X-S (see ID your chip link below) that the LAN and HDD wires are still the outer two connections. I can't tell which is which but I assume for manufacturing simplicity they keyed in the same order on the 2.6 as on the 2.6CE plugs. (or X3, or X3CE)
