Lost dvd key

Hi all, I have a friend who has an xbox which was badly flashed and now only plays dvd's. I am wondering if after doing the reset glitch, and obtaining the dvd key, if this is then flashed to his drive, can the coolrunner board be taken out and used in another xbox. As all we wants is to be able to play games. Is this possible or does the coolrunner have to stay in the modded box?

yes, it can be removed, flash back original nand, flash dvd drive with key, success

ya pure and easy, just install everything and boot Xell

bamm you got your dvd key

remove everything and flash the drive
