I have an x3 in a 1.6 box that I believe may have been toasted by lightning through the ethernet cable. I also lost a router, but amazingly the cable modem was unaffected. Anyway, now my x3 appears to have lost all of the bios stored in its banks (even backup). I can get a blue x3 led by booting with the quick press and a red x3 with a long press, and a purple x3 by depressing both power and eject buttons, but I cannot get into flashbios. The xbox does the 3 reboot and frag thing with no display.
I was wondering, since it seems like the x3 is still working properly if I should try to reflash a bios by hotswapping the chip in a friends working x3 box?
