Hey folks, i previously lost my original fw after replacing it with the hacked fw.

I understand that it is possible to get the original FW for the drive and retrieve the current key from my hacked fw then inject it into the original fw so i can put the original drive firmware back on to update to the latest hacked fw.

If this makes no sense what so ever, let me break it down :) .

My drive is currently hacked...

I want to update it to the latest hacked fw, but have lost the original fw for the drive...

How do i go about getting the original firmware back onto the drive so i can reflash the latest hacked fw.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

If you have a Samsung there is no need to restore first, just follow the tutorial as though you were flashing for the first time and your key will be transferred for you.

And if you have a Hitachi you can always do a raw dump and retrieve the key that way, there's no chance that you're screwed as long as the current firmware on the drive is good and the 360 works.

Just wondering can someone confirm that you dont need to reflash back to your original firmware before upgrading. I have a samy=28 with the old xtreme firmware and I would like to upgrade to the new Ixtreme

Cheers
