After installing the X3 chip into my "coma box" two months ago, I've had no problems and nothing but smoooth gaming.
I hope your luck runs better than mine with a coma console. I did just like you did to fix the problem, but within 4 months, the systems degraded so bad, that even the x3 wouldn't turn it on anymore. I never could get it to turn on with mod chip disabled. It finally just decided to totally die. I got mad, and wire soldered the chip into a second hand 1.0, and I'm happy. I guess it depends on a lot of things the make up coma symptoms. Some are more fixable than others.
Microsoft must have had some cheap #$% boards go out at one time, as I see a lot of coma consoles that have never been opened/modded .
#[email protected]% 3rd country manufacturers and cheap parts I guess. Mine was a 1.2/1.3 never could narrow it down to one or the other. The X3 even said it was a 1.2/1.3.
