LPC Pin 1 and 3 question

Hi,
I have my Xbox install done and everything checks good, but it won't boot with the mod chip and shows a red light on the external switch. I started checking the solder points with the multimeter and not showing any continuity on pins 1 (LCLK) and pin 3 (Lframe). I know that the GND's should not be showing any continuity, but what about these two pins. I have resoldered them several times to see if I get continuity but nothing. Any ideas? Any way to make a jumper?

Try disconecting everything but the d0/lan/hdd cable and the 5v wire and see what happens. It should either boot cromwell or frag if you've got a good d0 connection.

Couch potato ask for help

Hi everyone,

I'm completely new to the XBox world. I got an XBox 360 S a couple of weeks ago and I'm starting to have a few games and the one thing that drives me mad is the fact that I have to get my fat ass out of my comfortable couch every time I want to switch to another game.
So I don't want to "back up" my games or anything. I buy all my games and I'm OK with that. I buy them brand new and all I want in return is to do what the frack I want with them, including install them on the hard drive and play from the hard drive without having to switch the DVD every time.
Is there a mod to do just that?

Only on a JTAG console - if you have the NXE dash or above - then JTAG is no-longer an option I'm afraid. So sadly no - even installing onto normal HDD requires the disk in the drive to be able to boot it from the HDD as you are no doubt aware.
