also i dont think you know what my problem actually is.

at the beginning of the flashbios it tells me that my rom is read only whether or not the flash protect is on. however if the flash protect is enabled it doesnt flash at all (naturally) when it is disabled it pretends to flash but doesnt.

Usually the message you would get from havin flash protection on would be a halt message.
