Hey Pas7680,

I have the same problem. I have a Hitachi 59 with LT 2.0, and the disc says "play game" but no game picture ID shows up. When I press A to play game, it goes black, then it says "clean disc." However, my original XGD3 works fine and my XGD2 backups work fine.

I have a Liteon 0251, Hitachi 59, and Hitachi 78 console. All the consoles have LT+ 2.0 and dashboard 13604 installed. I never go online with any of these consoles. I burned XGD3 backups with the base iHAS burner with LT+ Burner MAX firmware using IMGBurn and Verbatim MKM 001s. I burned at 2.4X as recommended with OPC unchecked in IMGBurn.

All the XGD3 backups worked on my console with the Liteon 0251. However, when I tried these same backups on the Hitachi consoles, some worked on the Hitachi 59 and not on the Hitachi 78 and vice versa.

I adjusted the pot on the Hitachi 59 and was able to get 3 of the 4 XGD3s that weren't working on the 59 to work. The pot is now at 2.9 k-ohms and I'm not sure if I want to adjust any lower because I may burner out the laser.

I still haven't messed around with the Hitachi 78 yet.

Are Hitachis with the LT+ 2.0 really that sensitive to the burn quality of the backups that the pots have to be adjusted or is is the Hitachi LT+ 2.0 firmware that is at fault? Anyone else come across the same situation?
