Hello,

I have two different boxes, both running LT+ 3.0. One is DG-16D4S (1071 originally). The other is an older liteon wuth my older "elite" system.

At first, I couldn't understand why I couldn't run my older games. I ooked around and read about topography, etc.

So I reburned a few of my favorite backups. I noticed, however, that in the newer slim DG-16D4S I couldn't run certain games even if they were run through level 3 of ABGX360. MW2 for example, worked fine in my phat box on 3.0, but the slim wouldn't run it and i got disk error (on that one i got disk not supported, but in the others, i got disk unreadable).

What could cause this different reaction from the system. Also, if I go back to 2.0, could I run all thenewer games, even XGD3? I don't care about Live at all, and I am never on it.

HELP

What dashboard are you on? Lt3.0 works only on the latest dashboard for full compatibility. I would flash to stock, update them through live or flash drive or disc, and then flash to lt3.0 and report back.

I noticed that while the Elite didn't need to be updated dashboard-wise after 3.0, the slim was flashed and then updated with 3.0. Would that make a difference, the order in which i updated the dashboard??

Thanks ...

Not too sure what you are saying here. You should be on dash 14719 on both consoles no matter what the drive version. As asked before, what dashboard are you currently on with each console? To answer your other question, no, you will not be able to play XGD3 games with 2.0.

You might have flagged yourself for a ban since you updated with the lt firmware on it. If you are on the most current dash and lt3.0 and your drive is not spoofed or anything you should be able to play all your back ups. Your originals of the games work right?

have you tried a stock game original? does it load fine?

I think it is most likey the way the game has been backed up or could be bad media burner issues. the way the game was patched.

1) start off by making sure you have LT 3.0 installed & shows you are using it. if this is the system with DG-16D4S just double check maybe drive was never flashed correctly. if jungle flasher says it is then cool.

2) test a orginal game, not backup - see if it loads & plays

3) if above 1 & 2 are correct & work fine. then could be the way the game was backed up or patched, or downloaded ect... then it would be media or burning issues. as im not sure what kind of backup it is or who made it or where it's from.

4) try using imgburn - setup goto Write tab then Layer Break & click user specified - then you see a box there where L0 is add 1913760
that is most burning issues as it dont know where the layer break is & would never work without it, its a coaster then for your beer or pop lol.

just because it read an original dont mean it will read a backup.

if any of the above fail then start there.
