Hope not... The basics of Basic is "NEVER update with custom firmware" its posted everywhere (Flash to stock, then Update)...

But because no much is known of this update people are holding off updating untill we get the clear from C4eve, But the update does download and install and restart console, ive read its about afew apps but it seems to big of an update and no changes in apps for my liking to update my flashed console, so ill wait...

Its kinda like crossing a road at times.. Rush and hope luck has your back, But wait till its clear then cross, least your know your safe...

But always stock before Update.. textbook 101..

I'm new to the whole flashed 360 thing. I flashed my 360 last night for the first time to 3.0. Went to get on it today and told me there is an update. So needless to say I have a couple of questions, and sorry for sounding like a noob, but I am one.

1. So for every update I need to flash to stock before the update, and then re flash after the update, with possibly newer firmware depending on the update?

2. To flash to stock, do I just use the Dummy.bin as the "target" in jungle flasher?

3. What is the best place to go to know when new firmware is released?

4. They say players that don't use live don't have to worry. Does that just mean people who play multilayer on live, or use live for anything in a game even like downloading rosters or something?

5. I think the answer to this is no, but I just want to make sure. Do I need to re-burn my games/check them in agbx after each update?

Thanks for any info!!

1. You don't need to but its recommend if your worried about getting banned.

2. I'm pretty sure you want dummy.bin as your original then spoof it to post 13141 original firmware, but check the jungle flasher tut.

3. Last I heard easy xbins is broke so torrent's or forum links are your best bet as far as I know.

4. To get rosters you need to connect to the game server and you need to be up to date to do that. If the rosters are a normal game update then you can find the update online and get it over usb. Offline user's dashboards are updated when it is pushed though new games.

5. That was the case with ap25 patch's and may be in the future, but for now you don't. I have heard rumors it may affect truncate burns, if that's the case you'd need to find a ihas drive with imax firmware.
