HITACHI 79 lt3.0 crash help!!!

i recently tried to flash my 79 to lt+3.0 using free flash in jungleflasher.

half way through jungleflasher crashed and closed. now i cant get my 79 to recognise in jungleflasher and when i connect it to the xbox i get e64.

please help me fix this.

also i cannot eject the drive using ck3 or juf

It might be fixable with chillifix, and if that doesnt work you will need to desolder the flash from the driveboard and program it externally using a willem programmer or something similar. I hope you have a dump of your original fw, couse its probably easier and cheaper to get another driveboard.

I'll reply to your PM here as it benefits others.

In short, the only way to recover the drive is to remove the TSOP and reprogram with an external programmer. I can do these for you, but it's not a cheap process. You are far better off getting a working v79 PCB from somewhere else and writing your DVD key to it. It's cheaper in the long run. I would however advise you get your PC looked at, since a Hitachi freezing is a bad thing, even moreso when it's a v79.

Freezing in free flash is caused by attempting to flash the wrong fw to the pcb. You're definitely not the first to do this. As Martin says, get another 79 pcb.

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.
