GENERAL LTU2PCB on 0500 Noise/Play Issues

I've created and written the FW to the PCB 2 times and both result in the same noise. It sounds like the laser is not moving properly on the rails. It makes terrible clicking noises when trying to read a disc and will display mixed media half the time. If I put the original PCB back into the drive, the drive operates normally with no noise issues and no read issues with retail discs. I'm not sure where the issue lies as the original PCB works fine. Thanks in advance.

Post your JungleFlasher log please.

A photo of the LTU2 PCB installed will also help.

Bad/weak laser.

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

are you making sure the worm motor ribbon is in properly, it doesn't look all the way in.

out of interest, try flashing the 502 fw to it (no spoofing key in or anything) and put a DVD disc into tray (not connected to your xbox) see if the laser sounds ok. If it does do the same with basic 500 fw. obviously dont connect drive to xbox as it has no keys in fw.

Yes. Both firmwares are causing the laser to make the noise. The stock pcb still has no noise to when installed and functions fine.

I found that this sound is normal, i don't have the problem with the bad reading or mixed disc, it do a weird sound/movement before it begin to read a disc and is because its checking the limit of the rail, its exactly like phat liteon work. The original pcb board don't do that noise. The LTU2 PCB work perfect with that weird sound(i tested 9 boards, its the same with all of then).

You can clearly hear it when you power up the Console.

Hi. I have the same problem. Any workaround? Or just faulty pcb?
