I have just switched over to a Mac computer for the graphic work I need to do at home.
Can anyone tell me what FTP program they may use and any other info I my need to program my chip through the Mac.
Also is there any good IRC programes?
I hope I can do almost everything without purchasing a Windows laptop or hooking up my old PC in someother part of the house.
I new to teh Mac and I need some help if anyone can help.
Thanks so much.

Well, I own a PC, but I WISH I had a Mac. The only consoling factor to me is the fact I'm a Linux user, and not part of the crowd we call Microsoft. Windows sucks! Okay, I'm done.

This was answered a couple of days ago in this thread here. Searching would have have found it for you, but the title wasn't particularly helpful.

BTW - I love the new new Mac Powerbooks, not a fan of the desktop hardware, but wish Apple would release an Intel version of Mac OS X.

Thanks all. I did do a serch but didn't come up with what I thought was a good answer. I'll check the links out that you gave me and see if they are more of a help.
I like the Mac so much. Not a big change for me because I was using linux before. (SUSE) Some day I would like to get a PowerBook but for now I got the desktop and it rocks. Wasn't all that hard to change over frim Linux or Windows. Now I have to go and check out the links you sent me. Later all.

That is on the horizon as next year Apple is switching to the Intel processor. Which means a Intel version of the MAC OS and I hope that means it will work on a PC.:D
