I know Windows 98SE can be put on an xbox, and so can linux, but what about Mac OS 10? you would first have to install unix then install the mac os. has this ever been explored and/or is it even possible?
I believe the Mac OSX is, and always has been, designed for the PowerPC equipment. The Pentium processor, being made by Intel, is an entirely different architecture. Just like there is no "Windows" for Mac, there is no "OSX" for Intel processors. Windows and Linux can be run on Intel processors, but OSX cannot. It would be possible if there is a distribution for the Intel processor, but I do not believe one exists. Sorry... that would be cool though!
Never mind... I just got 0wN3d! Wow, that's really, really cool! I just may have to mod my second XBox, so I can have a Mac. Thanks for the post, halomaster7777. That makes my day... and I guess I must appolgize to YAKABOUSKI: it can be done. Sweet!
Yea, but it's emaulated and doesn't run too hot. Now the next Xbox is going to have Power PC (based) architecture so I think some genius out there will whip up a way to get OSX running on it. I'm holding off om buying a Mac Mini to see if this happens. I like the Mac OS, but the hardware is so overpriced
