assuming that the xbox360 was hacked and allowed you to run unsigned code, would it be possible to run mac osx on it ? i don't know much about the mac world but they do use a Power PC architecture on their systems ...

the one used in the xbox360 is probably a striped down version of it since t doesn't need all the functions that a real OS needs to do ...

would be quite interesting to see linux and mac osx running on microsoft's hardware :)

Stripped down it's not, as for running the MAC OSX code it seems possible. And I do not see any reason Linux cannot still be used on this new machine seeing it is also compliled for the PPC. Let us not forget BeOS the orginal MAC OS Alternative.:D:D:D

also another good thing about the x360 is that it uses standard USB ports ... so now you can connect a keyboard and mouse directly instead of buying an adapter or cutting the end of a controller and making your own :)

or a USB thumbdrive or hard drive... Interesting if a little exploit can be run from thumb drive to get into the inner workings of the system... I don't know if I should get this for christmas, or wait for the price to come down and the modding to become heavy... Looks so cool!

Once Linux is running on it (I'd say under 6 months) running Mac OS is simple with Mac-on-Linux. It is not emulation, so it's nearly as fast as the real thing.

Booting OS X natively would be another feat altogether. In theory with a tweaked kernel it would be possible, and the Darwin kernel source is available, so I'd say about 75% chance that OS X will at some time boot natively.
