Mac + RGH/FreeBoot... what to do?

Hi everyone,

I just had my 360 RGH'ed. And everything seems awesome.
I was wondering, however, if there was an easier way to transfer/install my games onto the xbox 360?

My setup consists of:

- Xbox 360 (RGH+Freeboot+FSD)
- Synology NAS loaded with xbox backup ISO's
- Macbook Air

Currently the installation proces is a bit tedious.
I have to:
a) Download the ISO on my NAS
b) Extract the ISO via my Macbook, which means all data must pass through my Mac.
c) Transfer the extracted ISO to the Xbox via FTP.

I'd like to skip the mac-part.

If only I could extract and install an ISO onto the xbox via FTP in the FSD interface my dreams would come true.

Then I wouldn't have all the data run through my mac and back again. And this feature shouldn't seem like such a big thing, considering all the stuff that's already available. Or is it just me?

Oh, and another thing. There's currently no good extractor available for mac, it seems? That's an even bigger problem. (my Air doesn't have much room for running Windows in Parallels or as dual boot)

Any help would be highly appreciated.

The Xbox won't recognize just a raw .iso so you still have to extract the iso or convert it and to use the windows apps use VMware or bootcamp

Yes, that's the problem.

It would, however, be awesome if there was a feature for extracting ISO's directly on the Xbox. Like NXE2GOD app or the CopyDVD feature, but for ISOs instead.

Anyone know any mac-apps that can extract xbox ISOs?

I heard about one called extract-xiso. But it is command-line based and seemingly slow and prone to errors.

I can confirm that extract-xiso works on my Mac and I managed to install it on my NAS as well.
I can now extract and upload files directly from my NAS to my xbox. Happy days! :p
