hey guys 1st post but been in xbox modding scene for 5 years so sorta know what im talking about, basically i acquired a slim from a customer that was stuck in an update cycle (couldn't get it to update from disk as it had a phat lite-on) and gave him a falcon in exchange, so i RGH'd it got the cpu key etc used XNandHealer to build a good stock 13604 image and got the console running again, then built the 14699 RGH image and flashed that, all working fine, i decided to try the "nandwich mod" bit extreme but wanted to dual boot it, so prepared a tsop chip from a dead xenon, went to solder it onto the original tsop on the slim and bridged two points on the original, tried booting the console and i couldn't get anything out of it, glitch board lit up but the console wouldn't boot and the usb's wouldn't output power, so i removed the tsop to clean it off and re-attach it, it came off cleanly unbridged the points, went to solder it back to the board and it was slightly wonky, removed it again and several of the points lifted off the board so i can no longer solder the original tsop back to them point's, does anyone know a way i can get a nand back on the console, either using another tsop from a dead board, a xD card nand or a cygnos as i really wan't to use the slim again weither it's just a RGH or retail, i expect i could do a dual xD card mod to it as long as i properly arranged the CE etc just need to know if it would work before i spend money on it

Trace the pads back from where they should be and rebuild them.

Someone of your calibre should have no problem in doing this. Get another slim board of the same type for continuity checks.

BTW, RGHing because of an update loop is a tad extreme.....!

was thinking thats a good idea just find it a pain soldering to traces :L isn't there the nand points for the xD card mod underneath the board? i could solder the tsop chip to that? providing i get the correct pinout, got a few images etc from xboxhacker.com that give pinouts then i can incorporate the xD card mod into that for dual boot and just rig it up like im just adding the xD card mod to it? first time i've ever done this sorta stuff lol so not 100% sure it would work

yeah it was extreme but the console was on a pre 13146 dash believe it was 12611 which was before microsoft flashed drives for XGD3 and he had a phat lite-on drive in it ( bought it flashed from some website before c4eva began working on CFW for slim drives) and he wanted it updated to LT+2.0 and i forgot that 13146 detected spoofing + incorrect drive firmware and he went to play a XGD3 title + it prompted for a dash update and then it detected it was a phat lite-on drive so couldn't do anything with it so gave him a falcon and saw RGH as the only way out of the update loop

yeah man, i was just leaving it at that but wanted to take it a step further get more of a challenge :) did test it on a dead xenon jtagable and worked fine, just messed up on the slim :( im gonna try soldering a tsop to the suggested xD card mod points on the bottom of the board and if i get it running ima leave it at that :) want my slim running again tbh was so quick and smooth to boot compared to my jasper plus i love the fact the HDD is internalised and easy to remove, gonna give it a shot in a minute will let you all know my result's as cood help other people :)
