Klutsh released a 2 new versions (a final/stable and a beta build) of the PC build of X2 Config Maker(info) - a tool to easily generate the x2config.ini for the new X2 5032 Bios. It allows you to easily configure all the X2 bios features.
i got this from xbox-scene news page
application for PC not your box

re-flash bank one

you don't have to swtich to bank 1 to flash bank one, you can do it from bank 2 where flashbios is

if you flash a 512k bios it will automatically go to bank one

if you flash a 1mb bios, then the first 512k will go to bank one and the second 512 to bank 2

to flash from a disc use this tutorial

I flashed my chip with a x3 bios. Know it turns on and off 3 times then frags. I went to bank 2 and samething happens. I checked all solder joints and all is good. any suggestions on the problem or on how to get back to flashbios screen

which chip do you have?
what version box do you have?

if you've got an X3 chip you've posted in the wrong section of the forum

if you've have an X2.x chip then you've just flashed a 1mb bios which takes up both banks

your only options now are to either get a hold of a programmer and flash it with your pc
or to do a hotswap with another chip and box (xbox-scene has tutorials on how to do a hotswap)

Work, always work
If you have an X2.6CE chip, you need to be using the X2 BIOS. Most current version is 5035 and can be found by following a link

http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28062

which Martin C posted for you.

Here's a tutorial from Xbox-Scene on how to use these programs

www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php

Use one of these programs to configure the .ini file

There was a post on here before that Xecuter put up that had an app that would take you direclty to the BIOS folder on Xbins...I'm not sure where it went.

Hope this helps.

VintageGold refers to the "XBins Auto Tool," the app that drops you right into XBins. Think it's a combination of MIRC and an FTP app, plus some custom scripting. Tried it once to check it out, it really is quite simple. Here's the link to the thread-
