I once worked with a guy that said "we don't use flux, and were not getting flux, ok?"

how could one be the master of soldering without flux.
from my understanding flux makes solder joints more strong and also makes the solder flow really good! I just still really don't get why he doesn't want to use flux.

Try soldering without flux and then solder with flux and I bet you notice the difference straight away.

yeah ive tried it soldering wires together w/ and w/o flux and it makes a world of difference.

The guy sounds like an ignorant bell-end, sorry. Flux makes the world of difference. By all means practice your skills but do it with flux when working with such small delicate points and components, it will save u a world of stress and time. The video posted by BL4K3Y is essential watching for solder practice.
