I am trying to do my first jtag on my soon to be old xbox phat. What all do I need to order to do this properly. I am going to be using Modchip.ca for my orders. I have added the following to my cart.

V3 Xecuter NAND-X & JTAG Connection Kit ( hxxp://www.modchip.ca/store/product.php?productid=16785)

Xecuter CoolRunner - Ultimate Reset Glitch Mod ( hxxp://www.modchip.ca/store/product.php?productid=16772)

Xecuter NAND-X & CoolRunner Phat QSB Install Kit ( hxxp://www.modchip.ca/store/product.php?productid=16776)

Is this everything I am going to need or is there more or less. Also sorry if this post has been posted before I searched using multiple variations on what I was looking for and only came up with the items needed for a slim box and wasn't sure if those items would qualify for what I was needing. Thanks for any and all replies including flames(at least you looked at it).

All you need is the NAND-X, I'm fairly certain it comes with the PHAT QSB boards, the coolrunner unit, then the update cable jptrucking mentioned. modchip.ca is great, but if you are in the US, take a look at xconsoles.com as well. Both are great dealers over here in the americas.

Thanks for the quick reply. One other question and its nothing big. How difficult is it to mess up an xbox when jtagging (I have jtagged satellite receivers back in the day) so I have some skills there and with soldering, not worried about that part just the actual reading/writing part.

Just make sure you read it multiple times, do a bit by bit comparison. And if there are any differences, check all of your soldering, delete the ones you did get, and try again until you get a group of perfect matches. Then you know you have a perfect original nand.

So long as you put that into a safe place you should not have an issue. I still do recommend using 360 multi builder and the tutorials available since they are just great. But so long as you have the original nand that you can always reflash, you are fine.
