'Manufacturer for code FF not found'

Im trying to get a dump of my retail nand in jrunner. If i have my DemoN turned off to try and read the retail nand, in jrunner when i click on 'Read Nand; i get the message, 'manufacturer for code FF not found', but if i turn the DemoN on, it reads the Nand fine. Any ideas why i get this error message when trying to read the retail nand?

This sounds like a soldering issue.

Post photos of the DemoN install please.

Have you checked for continuity between the DemoN's test points and the NAND pins?

Btw, first my soldering didn't have continuity on two points I believe on the DemoN. Check those with multi meter. After desoldering those points, the issue of FF code was solved.

I have contacted the modder Martin, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something software fault (corrupt nand) abd and an easy fix before sending it back

Hear back from Oggy this morning, he suggested to me to install teamviewer first, just to see if that works to save time and money of me sending it back to him!

But im at a lose of what actually teamviewer is and would i be able to even use it seeing as i can boot my console when in RGH mode?

EDIT: Ok just found what teamviewer is i was looking for something RGH related, but its actually software for remote control doh!

Picked this console up today (fixed it) -

Can't 100% say what went wrong with it, potentially a knock in transit? 2 Capacitors that were near the usb end of the demon (Y1/3/5) were hanging on for their lives. (see image)

Obviously the console could r/w the stock nand as that's one of the basic tests that I do before sending a console out! E71 was being caused by a bad block (nanddump1 on demon/stock replicated this but XeLL still booted) - The same bad block was causing issues on the new RGH image we tried over TeamViewer.

I've lifted the demon and QSB, refitted the offending capacitors, refitted a new corona QSB, rebuilt a stock nand and flashed this to 360/demon (both boot) and then rebuilt an RGH image from this dump and tested it on both banks - All working 100%.

Demon can interface with the console nand again just fine. Will reassemble and have it shipped to lettucekl tomorrow for Tuesday delivery.
