Hi everyone!

Congrats on this site, i've already found loads of useful information.

Ok, now about my case, i have a brand new xbox360 Slim still on the box from December 2011. I want to mod it so i can play my DVD DL backups.

I don't own an interface to connect drive to pc so i'm wondering if my motherboard sata controller is compatible with JungleFlasher.

I've a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 and sata controller is Marvell 88SE6111.

I haven't unpacked xbox yet and i don't know what kind of drive is in it. Do you think it's Samsung?

Another thing, does the lattest JF CFW support the lattest games like Mortal Kombat 9 or GTA V?

Can you help me? Thanks

Well unfortunately we cannot say exactly if your onboard SATA will work or not. Especially since you own a slim xbox. These new drives or very picky with what sata chipsets they want to cooperate with. SATA chips that were great before, are proving to be pretty useless with these new slims. As far as we know, A samsung drive hasn't been found in any slim xbox yet. There is one version of a hitachi, and the rest are variations on Lite-on drives. Anyway. What you can do is go through the JF tutorial and try your SATA chip to see if it works for you. Some people have had luck with them. others havent. My advice is save yourself some time and Buy the x360usb Pro, and the ck3i. Youll never need anything else as far as connecting to your computer goes.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I'll try to get x360usb pro and ck3i.

But, if i try with my board and it don't cooperate, xbox will not get bricked, right? It just fail to recognise drive, correct?

Basically yes. If it does recognize the drive, chances are you wont be able to do anything with your slim drive anyway.

Sorry, i got confused.

"chances are you wont be able to do anything with your slim drive anyway"

Do you mean xbox get bricked or that i just can't modify it's firmware but still use it normally?

thks

Well the sata chipsets dont like to put the drives into vendor mode when it comes to slims. You wont brick the drive. Especially if it is a lite-on. Just take things slow if you do get the sata chipset to recognize the drive.
