i have a Trinity, its on 13604. i have done all my soldering just realize that the multi builder is out with the Metro dash(13499)
So my question is, does the RGH work like a Jtag in the fact that the console can be on what-ever dash, and we can build a freeboot of what ever dash we want? meaning, Can i leave it on 13604, build a freeboot with 13499 and write it? or do i have to update my dashboard to 13499, then dump again, and build my freeboot from that?
and also, on one i have already finished, can i build a freeboot(13499) with multi builder save it to a thumb drive, and update a Trinty on 13499 through Xell?
i have read about a lot of people having problems with the LDV, thats why im asking. I am a bit confused.
i hope i have used the right termonolgy, please correct me if i didnt!! :rolleyes2:

I would highly recommend leaving your existing retail dash on the console, installing the hacked 13604 or 13699 dash, and then using the renamed $$ystemUpdate on a USB key method of updating the avatar, etc.

If you apply ms updates before hacking your dash, the LDV changes and if you have a NAND dump from an earlier time then you have to muck around with it.

Installing a custom 13699 dash with multi builder, etc, does not require that you are already running that version of retail dash. It just means that it will support and patch any dash up to and including that version.

this is exactly what i thought, but didnt know for sure. All this talk of LDV has got me all confused, and questioning myself.
