Is it possible to burn new games using a laptop (brand new toshiba laptop) with no internal DVD burner. So obviously I know it will have to be an external burner. I have heard the issue will be it getting stable power to produce a quality burn....Hope someone has an answer on whether or not this is possible....

Get an X360USB Pro and a 12V MOLEX power adapter (the MOLEXT is perfect).

The X360USB Pro works on desktop and laptop computers without any problems.

That is for flashing (modding) XBOX's is it not? Im not looking to flash an xbox I'm looking to make back ups of my games.

A burner is an optical drive. How are you making your backups?
I know a burner is an optical device, i know how it functions and what it does. My problem is my LAPTOP does not have a burner in it. Answering your question I'm not making back ups currently because I don't have a burner. Im trying to find an external burner that will safely burn back ups.

The X360USB Pro is an advanced SATA > USB adapter.

Basically, you can use SATA devices with a USB connection which all modern computers have.

Look at it this way - the drive would need need a data connection (X360USB Pro) and a power connection (MOLEXT).
