Also what readings should I get from the power lead accross which pins/connections? (dont have a slim brick) I have an adaptor lead pluged into a phat brick and whant to check the power is getting to the plug ok.

The first one is a Corona V3 (judging by the area around the nand) and the second is a Trinity.

Your adapter will work fine. Most installers around here use them.
