I have Xbox 1.6, and X3. I used the mod for about a week, got dashboards, apps, everything was working.

I decided to screw around with BIOS today, I edited network settings, static IP only, no DHCP. I enabled all video resolutions including wide screen, then I either enabled or disabled a settings with name VGA something (enabled if it was disabled by default, or vice versa). Then I rebooted the box, and lord be hold, it don't work now!!!!

The problem is when I boot to mod I can hear the sound, however there is no video. I can boot to MS dashboard with mod disabled just fine.

What should I do now? Is there anything I could do to restore defaults? Please help me out.

Ok, I followed the steps you gave me in that link. It didn't work, I then went into msdash and set video to normal. Once I set video to normal instead of blank screen I get flickering mabo jambo when it boots into the mod. I tried the procedure for resetting again, and it didn't work still.

How to erase eeprom? What should I do now?

Hey 4600... I had the exact same problem with 3029. It was working fine and then I changed the VGA setting (I think) and then I couldn't for the life of me get it to work again... would boot without any video. I had to check, recheck, recheck, recheck my soldering on the advice of others, but no luck. I then flashed it with 1959 and it works fine! Can you tell me how to erase the eeprom like you did?

Thanks,

I too need to know :(

Well, now I dont.. The way to do it was in the link in post #2. I asumed it didn't work since the guy say he didn't fix it.

As the post said:

Sure is, do the following:
Boot XBOX into config live.
After you think you are in config live, press 'A'.
Now press 'up' twice, then 'A'.
Now press 'left' once, then 'A'.

Now just let it run for a minute. It should reboot and work like normal now.

Let me know. :)
