any lite-on will work it does not have to come with the 8000 fw, you can buy a drive that came with the 7000 fw take out the pcb put your old pcb in it then it will work perfectly on your xbox.

or if you want a spare drive you can dump your drive then delete the flash on the new one and you have a blank lite-on that can be programed with any fw.

They are not that hard to get. I have a couple if you need you can buy off me.
