I had to transfer my chip to another xbox along with the hard drive and I had to reformat the hard drive. So when I try to re-flash the chip it says that it cannot read a partition of the hard disk. I get an error code 6 or 7 when i try to boot it up normally. What should I do? How does the xbox and chip read the hard disk's format is it fat32 or NTSF?

It sounds like the HDD was locked to your previous Xbox. If this is the case, put it back into the Xbox and unlock it.

If you cannot do this, you may need to unlock it manually. Did you use ConfigMagic to lock it?

Yes. I believe I did. So alls I have to do is put the chip back into the other xbox, unlock it and its ready to go. How do I unlock it manually? I think that might be easyer because I have alot of mother boards lying around. But when I go to flash the bios screen I thought I unlocked it because I clicked on "unlock hdd" and then the xbox rebooted. Ill try to find the motherboard. THANKS

If you locked it using ConfigMagic, then you can unlock it using ATAPWD on a PC with the password TEAMASSEMBLY.

It's probably better/easier to find the matching motherboard and go from there :). FlashBIOS will let you unlock the HDD which would be enough.

Well I messed up the board because when powered on there is nothing on screen so I cannot unlock it using the original motherboard. Any other suggestions that are quick and or easy?
