If it plays originals then it's either your backup process or media...get some Verbatim blanks and follow Textbook's tutorial for backing up games carefully. Also, what kind of burner are you using?

If it doesn't play originals either then it's the flash, most likely the wrong drive key.

Re: Problem getting Modded 360 to work

I am using Sony DW 28A and my labtop dvd ( Hp Dv1000 )

It play original xbox360 just fine tho

Is this what it usually happened if you burn the dvd wrong ? ( the white screen of " please insert into xbox360" )
Or it is rather happened when the drive wasnt flashed at all ( now im thinking that i might ve got rip-off )

Re: Problem getting Modded 360 to work

Well if it plays originals that means your key is correct and you can rule out a bad flash. So assuming the 360 was flashed that leaves your media, your burner, or your backup process. The only way to test that is to get better media and follow Textbook's guide carefully. Another good thing would be to try your backups that aren't working on a friend's modded 360, and try some of their backups that are known to work on yours.

If yours doesn't play anything, even backups that are known to work on another 360, then you could be right and maybe they didn't flash it with hacked firmware at all.

Also, if you're running iXtreme then your backups must be stealthed 100% properly in order to boot. That may be your only problem. This is covered in the guide but the easiest way to create stealth backups is buying a Kreon drive which can do it in one click.

I had similar problem to this a just reflashed the drive and it worked perfect. You may want to try to reflash the drive

Everyone always goes on about getting Verbatim discs, this is a waste of money in my opinion. I have always used the cheapest DL Media I could find at the time of buying for my backups. I have bought RiDisc Xtreme & Zero Defex discs off ebay & have no problems with them at all. They cost about one third of the price of Verbatim!!

I use XBC with the default read speed, BUT I ALWAYS write at 2.4x which is where I think people go wrong and get errors. I don't use any kind of fancy DVD burner, just the bog standard HL-DT-ST GSA-T10N DVD RAM drive that came in my Acer Aspire 5050 Notebook.

But you make your own conclusions, I would always try cheaper media first by buying a small 5 pack. Then if they work OK why change. Just wanna let you know that although everyone always bangs on about Verbatim discs, they are not usually necessary. Maybe it has something to do with your burner, maybe not.

Make sure you write at 2.4x, takes longer but MUCH more reliable. If you are already burning at this speed, then OK try better media.

yeah i dont use verbs either, i backed up a back up from a verb to h/p, the verb wouldnt read in my drive and it wasnt scratched and the h/p booted straight away go figure that out :)
