I have flashed a couple of Xbox's with Jungle Flasher but after a year or so the drives have issues reading the discs. Therefore I like the idea of R-Jtag and just using hard drives to store and play games much in the same way I do with every other media type.

My Console:
Phat Xbox 360 console
Dash: 2.0.16547.0
Falcon

I have watched a few videos of people RJtagging consoles.

One uses:
Jr Programmer v2
JRP/NANDX/CR QSB v3
J1D2 NANDX
QSB Post Phat v2
JTAG ALT v2

Another uses:
NANDX Reader
QSB Post Phat v2
JTAG ALT v2

The main difference being that the second person solders the nandx cables directly to the motherboard rather than to a QSB.

I understand that many products have since been discontinued and therefore I am finding it difficult to source the parts necessary from one supplier.

I can purchase the JR Programmer v1.1 and also the RJTAG Development Kit, which includes:
R-JTAG v1.1
FULL POST Phat QSB v2
Non-xenon JTAG QSB v2
FFC POST_OUT Ribbon Cable

Can someone confirm if this equipment is all that is needed in order to RJTAG the console, excluding the obvious things such as soldering irons etc.

I am also aware that the JR Programmer v1.1 may not be compatible and therefore I will have to separately source a v2, has anyone used the products mentioned?

The JR-programmer v1 will work for what you're wanting to do, but you will not have the ability to use the rater feature on the rjtag, you would need a v2 for this.

The easiest way I find, is to use wire only method to read the nand first. If your new at this, practice soldering on some kind of old board before trying to use the qsb's.

chronic1553 Many thanks for your help. I have now find a site that has the Jr Programmer v2 and the Cool Runner rev c. I understand now that I could also do this with the Cool Runner and Jr Programmer v2 rather than the RJTAG development kit and Jr Programmer v2. From what I have read they will both work with my Xbox, however, there is difference in boot times. Waiting a few minutes for boot is really not a problem for me. So am I right in thinking I could also use the cool runner with the same results?

Many thanks again chronic1553, it's all beginning to make sense to me now. Glad it got the right end of the stick. I think for my purposes I will go with the cool runner and jr programmer v2 because the boot times are really not an issue to me and it seems much easier to get hold of this equipment from a European supplier. Thank you for your time.
