Hiya Chaps
Ok, got my shiny new Xecuter 3CE chip this morning, install seems to have gone fine (Solderless, but hey, what can i say, i'm lazy
).
Ok.. come to flashing of the mod, i got X3_3294 from xbins and flashed it on 1Mb bank 1 ( on, on, off, off ). Http flash went ok, Xbox went through the gubbins then shut down, when i press power, the Xbox light and the blue mod light come on for about 2 seconds then it shuts down.. This repeats..
So, i tried to install the same bios on 1Mb Bank 2 ( off, on, off, off ) with the same result..
Now thankfully, due to the quality of the mod chip i still have my backup bios available... but i am scratching my head as to the cause of the X3 problem.
I also tried switching to a 256k bank and installing Evolution X M8. Now this worked and I got the Green flubber screen with the Evox splash in the top corner...
Mod chip itself seems to be installed fine.. There are a couple of Blue LED's on the mod and a Red one for the flash protection.
its a v1.4 Xbox if thats any help.
Obviously i would prefer to use the X3 bios if i can..
Any help would be MOST appreciated.
