when i boot to flashbios on my x3, the external LED goes on purple, then the red LEDs goes off and its only blue. whats up?

false. i installed an x3 in my cousins 1.6b box (1959 1.6 bios) and his stays purple. maybe its a flaw in the 1957 bios?

Why braveheart? Why dont we have one? I just started reading on how to mod .iso's and for the first time i have. I was able to mod my backup of COD WAW, and it is great. This is a new direction i feel 360 modding should go. Not only that, there are ways to mod the .iso and instead of modding the dvd drive firmware, you can hot swap the discs. Meaning, there is no need to mod the firmware.

Not necessarily, because people still have a chance of getting banned with modded dvd drives. Also, I been playing online with a modded .iso for a week now and im still good. I am not sure a 100% ban is correct. That would mean as soon as I sign into live i would get banned, which is not the case.
Also, you dont necessaily have to go online with the modded .iso. We have forums about jtaging and people can get banned going online with a jtag xbox.

its pretty much universally accepted that people with modded .isos will be banned in the next wave
this is especially true with JTAG boxes, you JTAG a box to get online for only a little bit
if you go online with a JTAG, you know you will be banned
as for the first part, modders acknowledge that it is possible to be banned with modded firmware, but strive to make undetectable (this is the point of LT firmware)
the firmware is built for people who wish to legally play backups, and therefore shouldn't be banned
as for not going online with a modded .iso, the game is most likely still detectable the next time you go on live as the disc signature has most likely been changed, as is saved in your xbox
