JTAG Missing drive space :(

Hey folks, I've ask a few people and haven't got any ideas.

My drive reports correctly as 229GB. The problem is games is only 145GB. If I scan for folder size/usage from / it reports apx 170GB used BUT free space is reported only as around 5GB so it's like I'm missing 60GB !?!

Any ideas?

Space will be used by various things such as system files, Title updates, game saves, etc.

Example I formatted a 750gb in a RGH slim, the remaining free space for use was 697gb and that's even before doing anything with it yet apart from formatting it.

Yes correctly system will use around 30gb. All contents of my drive add up to ~170gb INCLUDING system files etc. There is too much space "missing" something is wrong it seems.

your drive has more than 1 partition. remember that. dashboard + xbox1 compatibility + title updates + cache all take space. Since the dash itself takes aprox 32MB as someone already stated, 60GB does not seem alarming. Try to connect it to a PC and explore it with Party Buffalo or browse it with FSD

Sorry I still don't get it and am probably confused.

The way I am looking at it:

Formatted space : 229GB
Games: ~147GB
Free: ~5GB

That leaves apx. 75GB for system+tu+cache. (I have no xbox1 games.)

Checking the file/folder sizes through fxp shoes only 170GB being used by everything so it seems to me there is apx. 50GB unaccounted for.

Please take a look at these.
