Dears,

I have ordered parts to do a first time R-JTAG to my jasper, dash 16537.

I got the CR4 XL, the JR2 programmer, and the QSB v3 kit.

I started some tutorials online and wanted to begin modding when I saw they use an additional qsb called Alt JTAG v2 or so, which i don't have.

I just have the 2 main QSB v3 on top, and don't have the bottom one in the pic http://team-xecuter.com/cr4/CR4_PHAT_KIT.png

I would appreciate your feedback, on whether I can go on without it, and in this case which guide i need to follow, or whether I need to order it.

Thank you and Best Regards.

Alain.

Not through modchipcentral or any other official website due to difficulties in shipping/payment options and cost to Lebanon (Placed the order on one of the recommended websites, cost me twice the parts price for shipping, and order didn't go through at the end as they said they cannot use credit cards from my country). SO I had to improvise :) parts look good though but no alt jtag qsb.

rgh2 is different wiring right? so when i get the alt jtag qsb can i easily move back to rjtag??

Thanks.

Just wire up using rgh2+ method. It works really well on Jasper's.
So in my opinion no need for the R-jtag+ method.

Hi,

Unfortunately I am a beginner with this.

Not a complete beginner with soldering (i fix stuff at home) nor with xbox stuff (I have modded my disk using connectivity to pc sata with jungleflasher) but completely new to this.

If you know for a fact that I can do it without the Alt JTAG QSB ( i have the other 2) then care to help me a bit? I would really appreciate it. I am unfortunately unable to grasp it all by looking at the link you have provided.

Thanks.

You can also do direct soldering in place of the alt qsb. It's just a couple of diodes and wires.
Coolshrimp has a guide on his site. It's floating around the net a few places.
Hi thanks, will this cause any unstability to the system or make me lose any feature?
