freakzilla3333 - you might ask some stupid assed questions sometimes, but I have to hand it to you, you can certainly sketch and draw.
With the skills you have there, have you explored airbrushing? I think you could knock cases out pretty quickly with custom airbrush work ... stock case, custom airbrushing, clearcoat, additional lighting to highlight the art ...

Cheers Man, I only ask stupid questions to confirm stuff I am 99% sure of lol. I haven't had a go with an airbrush yet, but like I said, whatever I do, somehow I do it to perfection, it's amazing.
Hey freak, thats lookin nice. LED's sound excellent so far. For a window, get some mesh with small Holes in it and spray it white. Then get a strong adhesive to hold it firmly on the back side of the case top. Making it a vent/see through. Make the case all around metallic silver, and the ice lining the edges silver or white. And make those eye glow with some leds!! Do white Because Sub has white eyes, though at other times/in other games he has blue. So that or the glow idea is strictly up to you. But thats really all I have to add because the rest looks excellent.
I will use a CD case for the DVD window, might paint it frosty around edges and it will light up in blue or white so you can see the disc spinning in the dark! I really like the idea of the silver paint, but it might be expensive. Also with the Blue/white led's (blue cost 10x as much as green/red/yellow ones.)
I could make some icicles and photograph them, then print them with my epson maybe? Or draw them with pastels like Scorpions eyes?

The CD Case sounds like a good idea, inexpensive too. You may be right about the silver paint cost, so you'll probly in fact want to go with just some regular colours.
i am really liking that sub-zero box, especially with the ideas going on to improve it, leds, icicle affect and you put his kori blade in there too which is really nice..i may just hold off for that bad boy until whenever you complete it...also kick ass job with the coloured scorpion drawing of his face up close
Cool, I'll look out for a good value XBOX whenever I have enough in the bank (to customise into the Sub Zero XBOX), I've spent it all on XBOX's lol. When I sell that Millennium Falcon my bank balance should go sky high.
.When it's done I will sell it on ebay and advertise it with no chip, saying "if you want extras, e-mail me." I would have to chip it because of all the wires for the l.e.d's that attach the lid to the hdd and mobo, only I know what each one is and how to put it together again correctly.

How many LEDS are you planning on? You could wire them up using a quick connector type deal - so that to take the lid off you open the case, unsnap the connector, and then the lid comes right off. Maplin should have pleanty of examples - used in auto wiring harnesses all the time.freakzilla3333 said:

The flaming skulls...I wouldn't want to cover up the fantastic head of scorpion that is part of the drawing posted before, and the skulls would stick to the sides with the grills, I think the led's will look really cool as the skulls eyes. Red for the flaming skull, green for the normal skull. I will sand away the grill for the eye sockets. I'm not sure how I will do the skulls though, I'm thinking of doing them as drawings on thin white card. Or maybe making them 3d by using the PVA and tissue paper method like in "art attack" lol, (it's good though). Then painting them. What do you think?
