hey i just joined the forum and have to say its a good site and I'm liking how every body help i have been on other forums where somebody asks a question and they get called a noob for asking... Whats up with that!!

Anyway I'm Jsm and will be here to help when i can

does any body on here know if its possible to read the Dvd drive key off the mother board say in case of bad Dvd drive flash and lost original FW

the reason Im asking is because i found some guy selling badly
flashed xbox 360's on Ebay for £50 ($100) and that to me is a good deal if it can be fix with a simple chip read

i have made a chip reader before for the first Xbox to read the eeprom chip Im hoping its of the same principal

thanks for any help

No - the dvd-key is part of the keyvault, which is an encrypted part of the NAND. To modify it, you need your CPU key, which you can't get without having a working dvd-rom with modified firmware to launch the HV exploit.
