Hello does anyone know if I can still use xbox live if I install a modchip into my xbox 360?

I know some modchips disable themselves when you place an original game into the drive, therefore enabling you to use Xbox live without feeling like your gonna get banned at any moment.

Can I play back up games on xbox live with any modchip available for xbox 360?

if you put a backup game in the drive. The mod chip will auto-patch to allow the game to run. but i suggest the firmware hack. Its free and easy.

I heard that the firmware hack may cause problems with xbox live so is it not better to use a modchip?

Pro's and cons, doing it via firmware there is less chance of breaking the 360, doing via firmware is free and easy.

Is there a quick and easy method to remove the firmware hack as xbox live is my main concern? I do not want to be banned from using it!

You can flash back to the original, if your life is xbox live then dont flash, simple. No one has been banned from live YET, but obv that can all change very quickly.
