Modded Maps on Xbox Live...

I tried everything that involves swapping out the disks... Once Halo 2 booted and was playing intro.bik I very quickly unplugged the power to the DVD drive and then very quickly did the manual release of the drive and very quickly swapped the disks with a custom burned disk and put the yellow cord back in... that didnt work

I also waited for it to go into attrack.bik or the little movie that plays when your at the main menu for so long... I tried the same thing.. and got the same results.

I also did this in a game... same results

Even on Live... same results

I waited for the disk to stop spinning (long time)... same results...

Any ideas???

WTF, that not gonna work dude, first off you can't just swap discs cuz it will boot the new disc if you change it, and even if hell froze over and you did get it too work, your ass would be banned quicker then you can say "I'm trying to cheat on live, by using modded maps" Plus the maps wouldn't work since everyone has to have the same map, it may work a little over system link, but over xbox live, I think not.

Well no it doesnt boot the burnt disk I put in because it thinks that the DVD drive never ejected and theres no reason to load from the DVD drive if its already loaded but I disagree about the maps on Live... they work on system link if your the host... the way I see it XBL and system link are the same thing except XBL has friends and content...

Which brings me to another idea about downloadable content... couldnt you just put the map in the u$ folder and when Halo 2 reads it, it will show up as new content? Of coarse its not that simple of putting the hackedmap.map in the folder rebooting...

Any Ideas I still think its possiable but some key event needs to be happing maybe, I dont know

O and one more thing, why would I get banned... for they know I have the retail disk in the drive with the mod chip off? Maybe the downloadable content could get me banned but not this.

System link is NOTHING CLOSE to xbox live. You cannot use modded maps period. Like Halomaster said. If hell just happened to freeze over and you somehow got it to work you would be banned faster than you could say "Those bastards, they banned me. How can they do that? I was only trying to cheat and **** up everyone else's game! How dare they!"

well what if you were able to "magically" sign the disk?

Still the maps would not be shared, and more then likely your xbox would crash.

Magic died with Harry Houdini, boy. No one will be able to load the same maps as you unless they have the same copy. And you only give the same copys to your friends to play them on live with the maps, you might as well go to a house and do system-link. The whole idea is basically useless. There is a spectator in EVERY game. [try doing glitches, after enough, youll see what happens.] If they spectate a game you made with those modded maps, then your ass is grass, and you can kiss live good-bye.

I think any attempt to "magically sign" discs would be useless without the XDK.

Well recently on xbox-scene they said that someone actually broke the SHA 1 encryption, I realize that we are a long way away from having a program do this for us but if should have it even by the end of this year and it would "magically" sign a disk I see no need for the XDK. After all it cant sign disks now why would it in the future... unless they add a new feature to it.

And by the way does anyone know how much processing power will be needed to encrypt the disk? Will something like the SETI at home program be needed to encrypt it?

ya really but if there were TONS of computers all linked together like the SETI at home project then at least 1 disk should be signed in my lifetime... lol

if you want to play with the modded maps the only way is with system link. If you want to play with your buddies but cant all be in the same place try Kai link or XBC.

ya thats what I do, except not with my buddies... they either dont know how to use xbc or they dont have an Xbox... :(

Its so funny Im owning these people on xbc and they are like how'd he do that or he's glitching im reporting u to m$... it soo funny.

But the most common thing on Live is when Im owning someone and they say dude your using a mod chip u f****** cheater... ect...

Quote Kimosabe: [try doing glitches, after enough, youll see what happens.]

Not every games seems to have a spectator, and i sword jump and use other glitches a lot and nothing has happened to my account......

And how much does it take to encrypt a disk? (estimates...)
Maybe if we put together a comp with 6 mobos, each having two amd fx-55 chips in em (assuming they fit operton boards).....hahahaah
