Modded Xbox in a car?

OK I know you can have any Xbox in a car but what I would like to know is if a 3.5" HD would be reliable in a car with all of the knocks it would get when the car is moving? If not could you fit a 2.5" drive?

You could fit a 2.5" drive (get a 3.5" to 2.5" HDD adapter), but a lot of homebrew in car installs use 3.5" drives.
