Moddin Slim drives

Im not new to moddin just new to moddin slim systems. i was looking a jf tut and it said that slim lite-on cant be writtin to if dashbaord is up to date. is this tru? in order for me to right the fw to the slim lite-on the psb must be unlock by mod chip or alternate method. so on top of the x360usb pro v2 flashin tool i also need another mod chip just to write to slim lite-on.

you will need to do kamikaze,sputnik or replacing the pcb board,which liteon dvd drive do you have?

im not sure i have to check out it out its my cuzzins xbox is it possible to use the phat lite on to replace slim lite on? if not then i probably go with sputnick unlockin but i need to kno what i all tools i need to write the fw to lite on drives

well he has an slim xbox but its not brand new its like 6 months old or more. dont they have lite on drives in them?

if you dont answer my questions i can not help you,look at the back of the console and tell me the manufacture date plz, forget it about how long you been using this slim, be more clear and tell me manufacture date plz.

the drive it has is a lite-on fw ver 9504 but its now fw ver 0272 since the dashboard is current. what unlock methods are available to me or could i just use a phat lite-on to replace it.

noooo forget about spoof,lets do this clear to you, kamikaze,sputnik or unlocked pcb board replacement,its up to you.the only method that i can do for you if you pay me is replacing the pcb board for an unlocked one with lock and unlock switch for future flash updates.but you dont have to do it,am just telling you,the other 2 methods am not working on those at the moment.so take your time.

i can do it no problem but i will do sputnik cuzz replacin the pcb board 2 expensive. what all tools i need for sputnik unlock?

only works on mxic,you have to do a trace cut,thats all i know,i never did that before.am just working in pcb board replacement area for liteons 1071 and below or flashing any phat console at the moment.

ok appreciate the help tho i would do pcb replacement but those replacement boards are little out of my price range. i can do sputnik no problem jst got to be careful

Cut a trace, probe with gnd + 10ohm resistor

can anyone answer this question if i decide to use sputnik unlock switch do i need the probe as well or can use either or.

The switch does the same thing as the probe but allows you to close the trace cut you made to unlock the board (hence the lock/unlock switch on the sputnik switch). You do not need the probe if you go with the switch.
